You might be aware of the upcoming Royal Mail strike action. The Communication Workers Union (CWU) has called on its members who collect, sort and deliver parcels and letters to take strike action over the upcoming months.
As it stands, the CWU is required to provide Royal Mail with a minimum of 14 days’ formal notification before taking strike action.
Royal Mail has well-developed contingency plans but cannot fully replace the daily efforts of the frontline workforce.
Announcement of strike action
The Communication Workers Union (CWU) has formally notified Royal Mail they plan to call on their members who collect, sort and deliver parcels and letters to take national strike action on Thursday 24, Friday 25, Wednesday 30 November and Thursday 1 December 2022.
